This role involves working as a Measurement Engineer specializing in radiological measurement technology and release procedures for radioactive residues within RWE Nuclear GmbH. The professional will be responsible for the qualification, testing, and validation of measurement equipment used in release procedures, as well as developing, optimizing, and implementing customized measurement concepts for the radiological characterization and clearance measurement of materials, components, buildings, and soil surfaces. Key responsibilities include creating and validating calibration standards, applying advanced measurement techniques like gamma spectrometry and in-situ measurements, and ensuring data quality. The ideal candidate holds a scientific degree (e.g., Physics, Nuclear Technology) and ideally has experience in clearance and radiation protection measurement technology. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Natural Sciences (e.g., Physics, Chemistry, Nuclear Technology, Radiation Protection, Measurement Technology, Electrical Engineering)

Experience

  • Experience in clearance and radiation protection measurement technology (especially clearance measurement facilities and gamma spectrometry) is advantageous
  • Experience in creating and validating measurement calibration standards is desirable
  • Experience in developing and evaluating measurement concepts is desirable
  • Professional experience with relevant data evaluation software is advantageous
