Job Summary

This senior leadership position requires an experienced IT executive to manage two critical functions: leading the local Austrian IT operations and ensuring seamless integration with the Lufthansa Group (LHG) IT framework. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, implementing, and optimizing local IT processes, managing KPIs for operational excellence, and leading the application portfolio and IT projects. The role also involves developing IT strategy, architecture, and cybersecurity initiatives, and driving digitalization efforts. Crucially, the incumbent will implement the global LHG IT service strategy, enforce governance and standards, and act as the primary interface to Corporate IT, ensuring technological harmonization and adherence to target architectures. The ideal candidate must possess 10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in a leadership capacity, strong strategic vision, and the ability to lead diverse teams in a complex, global corporate environment.
