Job Summary

This is a key leadership role at the Federal Institute for Administrative Services (BAV) in Aurich, focusing on the strategic and operational steering of the agency's IT landscape. The Head of Division Z4 will be responsible for defining and implementing the BAV's digitalization strategy, overseeing the modernization of IT infrastructure, and sustainably shaping digital administrative processes. A critical component of the role is serving as the IT Security Officer, managing the strategic alignment of security-relevant IT infrastructure, developing security concepts (including ISMS and emergency/crisis management according to BSI standards), and ensuring compliance with federal IT consolidation measures and BSI laws. The position requires proven multi-year leadership experience and a background in Computer Science or Business Informatics, offering an opportunity to drive significant digital change within a public sector environment.
