Job Summary
This role involves the oversight and monitoring of signaling, telecommunications, and electrotechnical systems within the Federal Railway Authority (EBA) in Germany. Based in either Frankfurt am Main or Saarbrücken, the successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing execution plans, supervising the acceptance of new constructions and modifications, and ensuring operational safety during construction phases. Additionally, the role includes monitoring maintenance activities and coordinating annual inspection programs. A key aspect of the position is contributing to the recognition and supervision of expert inspectors, particularly for the 'Digital Rail Germany' initiative. This is a permanent, full-time position within the public service sector, offering a high degree of responsibility in ensuring the safety and modernization of national railway infrastructure. Required Skills
Education
University degree (FH-Diploma or Bachelor) in Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a comparable field; alternatively, qualification for the higher technical administrative service in the federal administration.
Experience
- Professional experience in signaling, telecommunications, or electrotechnical systems
- Experience in monitoring construction or maintenance of technical infrastructure
- Experience in reviewing technical execution plans and system acceptance
- Experience in organizational management and negotiating with third parties
- Experience or willingness to work within public administration frameworks

Additional
- Must pass a physical fitness assessment for driving, steering, and monitoring activities (conducted by the employer). Location is restricted to Frankfurt am Main or Saarbrücken. Applicants must be eligible for German public service pay grades A 10/A 11 or E 11 TVöD.
