Job Summary

This role involves designing, developing, and implementing robust database management and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions for a major municipal utility company. The professional will be crucial in shaping the enterprise-wide data architecture, focusing on building and maintaining scalable data platforms, whether cloud-based or on-premises, utilizing concepts like Data Lakehouse, streaming, and batch processing. Key responsibilities include ensuring Data Governance, data quality, and compliance with data protection guidelines, as well as managing external service providers and technology partners. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Computer Science or a related field, coupled with several years of experience in data modeling, architecture, or analysis, preferably within the energy sector. Success in this position requires strong analytical skills, expertise in ETL processes, BI tools, and familiarity with the SAP and Microsoft data environments (e.g., SAP Datasphere, Azure, Fabric).
