Job Summary

This Principal Scientist role is a leadership opportunity within the Cardiovascular, Renal, and Inflammation (CVRI) research division at Bayer, focusing specifically on advancing the portfolio for kidney diseases. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for in vitro pharmacology initiatives, guiding projects from initial concept through to clinical translation. Day-to-day activities include designing and developing functional in vitro disease models (cellular, enzymatic, biochemical) to drive drug discovery, providing strategic orientation to project teams, and acting as Biology Lead where necessary. The role requires a PhD in a relevant life science field with significant expertise in renal pathophysiology and advanced lab methods like flow cytometry and functional assay development.
