Job Summary

This role is for an IT/OT Systems Engineer passionate about elevating production processes through digitization and smart data flows for the 'Production of the Future.' The engineer will be crucial in developing, implementing, and operating secure data connections between industrial machines, OT systems, and the broader IT infrastructure, utilizing protocols like OPC UA and MQTT. Key responsibilities include planning and managing communication paths between production networks and IT systems, encompassing segmentation, routing, and firewall configuration, and ensuring stable, high-performance operation of these interfaces. The ideal candidate holds a degree or qualification in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and possesses relevant experience in manufacturing digitization or automation. Strong hands-on mentality, expertise in network technologies (TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN), and a foundational understanding of IT/OT security concepts are essential.
