Job Summary

This role involves critical administrative and management tasks within the Research Department and the Graduate Research School (GRS) of a technical university in Cottbus, Germany. The Administrative Officer will primarily handle the processing of research funding applications from the university's budget, manage the evaluation and further development of internal funding measures, and provide organizational management for specialized commissions. Key responsibilities within the GRS include managing the allocation procedures for doctoral and third-party funded scholarships, evaluating scholarship recipients, and conducting effectiveness analyses for funding programs. The ideal candidate requires a university degree in administration or economics, professional experience in science and project management, especially concerning national and European funding programs, and strong analytical and organizational skills. This is a full-time, fixed-term position covering maternity leave and potential parental leave.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/Diploma or equivalent) in administrative law or economics, preferably with a specialization in science management

Experience

  • Professional experience in science and project management
  • Experience in applying for and managing national and European funding programs
  • Experience in scientific project work, particularly regarding evaluation methods and procedures
  • Knowledge and experience in national and international research funding and corresponding programs
