Job Summary

This role involves supporting cutting-edge research into Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders within an international, interdisciplinary team at the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH). The successful candidate will be responsible for the acceptance and processing of patient biomaterials from the Lübeck site and its European satellite locations, focusing on the LRRK2 Investigative Translational Exchange (LITE) project. Key day-to-day duties include conducting DNA, RNA, and protein-level analyses, performing cell cultures (both cell lines and primary cells), and utilizing various molecular and genetic techniques such as RT-PCR, sequencing, ELISA, and Western Blot. Required qualifications include a recognized professional certification as a Biological Laboratory Technician or Technical Assistant, or a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology or Biotechnology. Excellent organizational skills and fluent English proficiency are essential for success in this fixed-term position, which starts on January 1, 2026.
