Job Summary

Join HÖRMANN Kommunikation & Netze GmbH as an IT System Administrator specializing in Network Infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, security, and future viability of the company's IT operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management and monitoring of network infrastructures and firewall solutions, implementing security policies, and resolving network issues to maintain smooth operations. Key tasks include installing, configuring, and maintaining server hardware and virtual machines using VMware vSphere, as well as administering and optimizing Windows and Linux operating systems. You will also manage storage and data backup solutions, specifically implementing Veeam for reliable backups and recovery, and conducting regular security audits and penetration tests. The ideal candidate possesses a degree or comparable qualification in Computer Science, several years of professional experience in network and firewall administration, and strong analytical problem-solving skills, complemented by fluency in German and good working knowledge of English.
