Job Summary

The Technical Assistant position at the Center for Molecular Bioengineering (B CUBE) at TU Dresden involves crucial laboratory support for molecular biophysics research. The successful candidate will primarily execute lab activities, including cloning, recombinant protein expression and purification, and modifying DNA oligos and peptides. Day-to-day tasks also include preparing solutions and measurement chambers, analyzing and documenting results, and training new staff in lab procedures. Key requirements include a professional qualification as a Biological Technical Assistant or equivalent, coupled with hands-on experience in molecular biology (nucleic acid isolation, DNA cloning) and biochemistry (protein expression/purification, SDS-PAGE, liquid chromatography).
