Job Summary

This role offers an opportunity to join Roche Diagnostics GmbH in Mannheim as a Development Engineer focused on Point-of-Care (POC) diagnostic systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently executing test programs, systematically evaluating system interferences, and assessing measurement setups and various device generations. Key daily tasks include preparing and evaluating laboratory samples, collecting data for manufacturing and testing specifications, and creating detailed experimental, manufacturing, and testing protocols. A strong focus is placed on data analysis, documentation, and reporting, including the use of Excel and Word for data processing and the preparation of development reports and presentations. Candidates should possess a technical degree in Chemistry or Biology (Technician or Bachelor level) or equivalent, along with professional experience, ideally two years, in developing POC diagnostic systems. Fluency in German and English is required for communication and documentation.
