This Senior AI Engineer role focuses on shaping the future of domain-specific AI systems within the BMW Group, specifically by designing, training, and operating new foundation models for engineering and production environments. The successful candidate will own the strategy and roadmap for these industrial foundation models, aligning closely with production leaders. Day-to-day tasks include building and adapting large language, reasoning, and multimodal models for automation at scale, architecting end-to-end AI systems with robust APIs, security, and observability, and defining standards for performance, safety, and compliance, including leading red teaming efforts.
