Job Summary

This role involves actively driving the energy transition by successfully completing High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission projects for clients. The professional will be responsible for conducting comprehensive hardware and software tests, including customer acceptance, both in German test centers and on international HVDC systems. Key duties include configuring, testing, and commissioning field control devices, specifically within HVDC substation control systems. The ideal candidate will independently troubleshoot errors, support the software engineering team, and assist the Commissioning Management with quality, risk, and claims management. This position requires a background in Electrical Engineering, proficiency with field control devices (ideally SIPROTEC5/DIGSI 5), knowledge of high-voltage and switchgear technology, and a willingness to travel extensively for domestic and international assignments, including offshore platforms.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, or comparable qualification; Certified Electrical Specialist (EFK)

Experience

  • Professional experience in the commissioning of field control devices
  • Experience with testing interlocking logics and step sequences
  • Knowledge of associated high-voltage components in substations
