Job Summary

This role involves leading a specialized team at the Federal Armed Forces Geoinformation Center (ZGeoBw) in Euskirchen, focusing on data acquisition and processing. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and coordinating the organizational flow of task fulfillment, making diverse sources (such as elevation and vector data) usable for data acquisition, and developing methods for optimizing and automating data acquisition and validation processes. You will also coordinate the external awarding of data collection contracts and manage multinational cooperation within your technical area. Key requirements include a Master's degree in Geoinformatics, Geodesy, or a related field, proven experience with modern Geographic Information Systems (GIS) like ArcGIS and their geodatabases, and programming experience with FME or Python scripting for GIS.
