Job Summary

As the IT Business Unit Manager at the Federal Office for Defense Technology and Procurement (WIS) in Munster, you will lead the 'Technical Scientific Information Technology' division. Your primary responsibility involves managing IT service delivery, overseeing the conceptual development of technical-scientific IT infrastructure, and ensuring secure IT operations. You will lead a dedicated team, manage contractual obligations with service providers like BWI, and support operational departments by providing specialized hardware and software solutions. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or University Diploma in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a comparable field of study.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the operation of client/server systems, network technology, or security technologies
  • Professional experience with Windows Server operating systems and SQL databases
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a professional environment
  • Experience with virtualization techniques and IT infrastructure management
  • Experience with BWI contractual processes or the HERKULES follow-up project (HFP) is preferred

  • German citizenship required. Must commit to the free democratic basic order. Mandatory successful completion of a Level 2 Security Clearance (Ü 2).
