This permanent position as an IT Specialist in Mobile Forensics, located in Neuwied within the Koblenz Police Department's Criminal Investigation Directorate, offers a critical role in combating digital crime. The specialist will be responsible for the end-to-end handling of digital evidence, including the forensic securing, restoration, and preparation of data from various storage devices such as smartphones, PCs, and routers. Key tasks involve operative evaluation, analysis, conducting deep internet and social network research, supporting searches, and handling image/video processing. You will document findings for prosecutors and courts, requiring meticulous attention to detail and specialized forensic tools. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent expertise, coupled with strong practical knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows, MacOS), network protocols, encryption technologies, database systems (SQL), and scripting. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor of Science or Diploma (FH) in Computer Science or comparable degree; alternatively, vocational training as an IT Specialist (Fachinformatiker) with long-term professional experience.

Experience
