Job Summary

This specialist role focuses on planning and executing complex organic syntheses, particularly within the field of nucleic acid chemistry and oligonucleotide synthesis, for R&D projects at Roche Diagnostics in Penzberg. Day-to-day responsibilities include laboratory work involving the isolation, purification, and detailed characterization of synthesized molecules to support test development. The specialist is also responsible for documenting and interpreting R&D results, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations regarding quality management, work safety, and environmental protection, and supporting the creation of essential product documentation like SOPs and safety data sheets. A key component of the role is proactively observing the state-of-the-art in preparative organic chemistry and developing novel solutions. Candidates must hold a Master's degree or PhD in Organic Chemistry and possess significant experience in oligonucleotide synthesis and preparative organic synthesis, coupled with strong chemical knowledge and excellent communication skills.
