Job Summary

The Ministry of the Interior and Sport in Rhineland-Palatinate is seeking an Administrative Officer with a focus on Cyber and IT Security to join the Counter-Espionage, Classified Information Protection, and Cybersecurity division. This crucial role contributes to the protection of the democratic constitutional order by acting as an early warning system against security threats and cyberattacks. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting advisory and awareness measures on cyber and IT security, maintaining the state's Cyber Security Portal, analyzing and assessing cyber espionage and sabotage activities, and ensuring overall IT security. The ideal candidate must possess a degree or vocational training in IT or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in an IT-centric environment. This position offers a secure, permanent role within a security authority, providing specialized training, flexible working hours, and the potential for transition into a civil service position (A11-A13).

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in IT or a closely related field, OR completed vocational training in IT, OR Bachelor's degree or vocational training in other fields combined with several years of equivalent, relevant professional experience in an IT-centric work environment.
