This position is for a Data Science Specialist within the Constitutional Protection Department of the Ministry of the Interior and Sports in Mainz, Germany. Day-to-day responsibilities include gathering requirements and executing complex data analyses on large datasets in collaboration with various departments. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor of Science, Arts, or Engineering (or equivalent German Diplom FH) in Informatics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering Sciences, or Statistics; OR Bachelor's degree in another field with a focus on Statistics, Data Analysis, or Machine Learning.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the analysis of large data volumes
  • Prior experience in the described task area (desirable)
  • Prior employment with an intelligence service or federal/state security authority (desirable)

  • Must successfully complete an extended security clearance with security investigations (Ü 3); Willingness to include partner/spouse in the security clearance process; Cannot have familial ties (self or partner) to states with special security risks (e.g., Iran, Syria, China, Russia); Willingness to travel and perform duties outside of standard working hours; Driver's license Class B (desirable).
