Job Summary
This fixed-term, part-time PhD position (67%) offers a dedicated chemist the opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research in sustainable electrochemical technologies, specifically focusing on advancing artificial metalloenzymes for selective CO₂ reduction. The successful candidate will independently plan, execute, and evaluate experiments at the intersection of synthetic chemistry and biochemistry, combining molecular design with protein engineering to create next-generation catalysts. Key responsibilities include synthesizing and characterizing cyclam ligands and their metal complexes, constructing artificial metalloenzymes, and analyzing electrochemical data using techniques like cyclic voltammetry and controlled potential electrolysis.
