Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the robust IT security of the German Weather Service's (DWD) administrative and business-related IT systems, focusing on implementing and coordinating security standards derived from the IT Security Act 2.0 (IT-SIG 2.0). The coordinator will analyze, evaluate, introduce, and support business IT procedures, coordinating their technical development and problem-solving with specialist departments. Key responsibilities include implementing minimum standards and logging requirements according to IT-SIG 2.0 and coordinating controls and information requests from the BSI (Federal Office for Information Security). The ideal candidate must possess a technical university degree, preferably in Computer Science, and demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, coupled with proficiency in both German (C1) and English (B2).
