Job Summary

This role is for an ambitious Systems Engineer specializing in submarine propulsion batteries, focusing on both lead-acid and lithium-ion technologies. Day-to-day responsibilities include the technical support and processing of battery systems, creating and managing battery-specific specifications, and performing design and calculation tasks for the drive batteries. The engineer will also be responsible for generating procurement specifications based on customer and system requirements, defining interfaces, and overseeing manufacturing processes and acceptances. This position requires strong technical communication skills to act as the central point of contact for all battery-related technical inquiries, both internally and externally, and involves reporting progress through all phases until the submarine's delivery. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, or Mechatronics and possesses experience in battery design, calculation, and requirements management.
