Job Summary

This role involves working as a Customer Support Engineer specializing in Firewall Administration for Airbus Secure Land Communications, focusing on professional mobile radio solutions. The core responsibilities include the installation, setup, and maintenance of firewall and network infrastructure solutions, ensuring a stable and high-performing network environment. You will be instrumental in incident management, analyzing and resolving complex network issues, and managing change, release, and configuration processes. Key requirements include a degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, profound knowledge of network and firewall infrastructure planning and administration, and expertise in IP-Sec, TCP/IP, and routing protocols like BGP and OSPF. This position offers the chance to contribute to mission-critical communication networks, such as Germany's nationwide digital public safety radio network, requiring strong technical documentation skills and proficiency in both German and English.

Required Skills

Education

Degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification; alternatively, completed vocational training as an IT Systems Electronic Technician

Experience

  • Professional experience as an IT Systems Electronic Technician with long-term experience (if no degree)
  • Practical experience with DXT systems (Nokia) is ideal
  • Profound experience in network and firewall infrastructure planning and administration
  • Solid experience in network technology and TCP/IP
