Job Summary

This role involves serving as the Operational Waste Management Engineer for the Munich-Maisach branch of Germany's national highway infrastructure operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing internal waste management processes, providing expert advice on waste and environmental law, and coordinating engineering services for environmental preliminary investigations. Day-to-day tasks include managing the electronic waste verification procedure (eANV), conducting technical inspections related to waste management, and acting as the primary contact for regional environmental authorities and external engineering firms. This position requires a degree in Environmental Engineering or similar, combined with practical experience in waste management and relevant legal frameworks (e.g., KrWG, BNatSchG). Required Skills

Education

University degree (Dipl.-Ing. (FH), Bachelor) in Environmental Engineering or Environmental Technology, or equivalent qualification acquired through professional experience

Experience

  • Professional experience in waste management
  • Experience in road maintenance and operational services OR relevant specialization during studies
  • Knowledge of waste, nature conservation, and environmental protection law
  • Knowledge of procurement and contract law (VgV, VOL)
