Materials Tester | Werkstoffprüfer (m/w/d)

Job Summary

This role involves executing comprehensive material testing procedures on raw materials, semi-finished, and finished parts, including spectral analysis and hardness testing. A key responsibility is comparing chemical and mechanical material characteristics against specifications and verifying the correctness of acceptance test certificates according to EN 10204. Day-to-day tasks include meticulous manual and digital documentation of test results, creating quality records, and marking parts based on their test status (e.g., free, blocked). The ideal candidate will support dimensional checks of supplier parts, perform acceptance tests at supplier facilities when necessary, and initiate supplier complaints, providing technically proficient descriptions of failure symptoms and types while assisting with root cause analysis. Qualifications include a completed vocational training as a Materials Tester or equivalent, professional experience, and proficiency with material testing equipment like spectrometers and Equotip. Experience with quality assurance, computerized measuring systems, and MS Office is required, making this a crucial role in maintaining high quality standards for development projects.
