Job Summary
This role offers an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate to contribute to groundbreaking research within the ERC Synergy Grant project SWIMS, focusing on highly energy-efficient spiking communications for wireless sensor systems. The successful candidate will design optimized spike modulation and encoding schemes, model stochastic spike-based signal processing chains, and develop task-based communication algorithms. Responsibilities include conducting theoretical research, evaluating concepts via simulation, demonstrating algorithms in hardware with project partners, and publishing results in international journals and conferences. Key requirements include a strong university degree in electrical or communications engineering, profound knowledge of wireless communications and signal processing, excellent mathematical skills, and at least two years of relevant research experience with prior IEEE publications. Experience
