Job Summary

This role involves critical infrastructure management within the Civil Engineering Office, focusing primarily on the inspection and monitoring of engineering structures. Key responsibilities include conducting visual inspections and walk-throughs of structures, meticulously documenting any significant changes, defects, or damages, and comparing findings against previous inspection reports to assess damage progression. Additionally, the technician will manage procurement processes, including market research for necessary equipment, evaluating bidders, and handling price inquiries and award notations. A significant part of the job involves processing applications for large and heavy transport (GST) permits via the VEMAGS portal, verifying routes against municipal structures, developing alternative routes when necessary, and checking the structural integrity of specific buildings related to GST. The ideal candidate must hold a state-certified technician qualification in Civil Engineering and demonstrate high commitment, resilience, and willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
