Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the functionality and longevity of critical infrastructure within Germany's highway network, specifically focusing on electrical and communication technology (EKT) systems, including those in tunnels and telematics. The Engineer will be responsible for organizing and executing inspections, assessing the condition of EKT assets, and developing maintenance and preservation strategies. Key duties include planning and preparing maintenance projects, drafting tender documents, managing engineering services contracts, and ensuring compliance with critical infrastructure protection standards. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, Communication Technology, or a related field, possesses strong IT skills, and is prepared for occasional travel and non-standard working hours to maintain essential infrastructure integrity.

Required Skills

Education

University of Applied Sciences Degree (Dipl.-Ing. FH) or Bachelor's degree in Communication Technology, Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field

Experience

  • Professional experience in the field of electrical and communication technology is advantageous
  • Knowledge of public procurement and contract law (e.g., GWB, VgV, VOB) is desirable
