Job Summary

This role supports the vital national highway infrastructure by focusing on the development and administration of Geodata Management and the Geodata Infrastructure (GDI). The specialist will be responsible for the analysis, evaluation, and presentation of extensive geodata, ensuring the seamless provision and exchange of road-related data services and products. Key daily activities include administering the service-based GDI, conducting comprehensive consultation and training for project stakeholders on Geoinformation Systems (GIS), and performing quality assurance for GIS projects and procedures. The ideal candidate must possess a scientific university degree in Geoinformatics or a related field, coupled with solid expertise in commercial and open-source GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS), web technologies, and database systems (e.g., PostGIS). Success in this position requires a highly engaged, reliable, and self-reliant working style, along with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team dedicated to shaping the future of Germany's mobile infrastructure.
