Job Summary
This role involves executing, evaluating, and documenting non-destructive material tests, primarily focusing on Visual Testing (VT), Radiographic Testing (RTF/RTD), Leak Testing (LT), and Penetrant Testing (PT). The specialist will focus heavily on X-ray CR technology using storage foils, visual inspection of components, and conducting leak tests. A significant aspect of the job includes creating microsection samples. This position requires an individual with a background as a metalworker or equivalent, possessing relevant NDT experience and ideally holding valid certifications (Level 1 or 2 according to DIN EN ISO 9712). The role is attractive due to its involvement in high-tech, international projects within the nuclear energy sector, contributing to low-carbon energy supply, and requires a willingness to travel internationally for assembly work and adhere to a two-shift schedule.
Required Skills
Education
Vocational training as a metal specialist or comparable qualification. NDT certifications (VT, RT/RT-D, LT, PT) Level 1 or 2 according to DIN EN ISO 9712 are desirable.
Experience
- Professional experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and its application
- Experience with SNT-TC-1A for the ASME area is advantageous
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to undertake regular short- and long-term business trips/secondments to construction sites within and outside Europe. Willingness to work in a two-shift operation.
