Job Summary

This role is a critical position as a Materials Tester/Inspector based in Berlin-Spandau, focusing on quality assurance for metallic materials within the supply chain at Siemens Energy. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing various non-destructive and destructive tests, such as hardness testing (Brinell, Vickers, Rockwell), Spectrometry (Optical Emission Spectrometer), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT). The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely processing of incoming goods according to technical drawings and internal/external specifications, meticulous documentation of inspection results in SAP, and preparing materials for subsequent production steps. Key requirements include a completed vocational training as a Materials Tester or equivalent qualification, professional experience in incoming goods inspection/quality assurance, and proficiency with SAP and MS Office. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Materials Tester/Inspector or comparable qualification; Further qualifications in Dimensional Metrology (e.g., DGQ) are desirable; Knowledge of Radiographic Testing (RT) is desirable but not mandatory.

Experience

  • Professional experience in incoming goods inspection or quality assurance
  • Experience in reading standards and technical drawings
  • Experience with Visual Testing (VT) is desirable (VT qualification from DGZfP is desirable)
