Job Summary

This role requires a skilled Component and Production Engineer to manage and resolve technical production issues, focusing heavily on mechanical components within an Aviation Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environment. Key responsibilities include coordinating internal and external stakeholders to correct deficiencies, developing and implementing quality standards for repair and overhaul processes, and overseeing the creation of new maintenance procedures and alternative parts (PMAs). The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, prior engineering experience in aviation MRO, and proficiency in component-specific engineering and design software. This position is attractive due to its critical role in maintaining technical documentation compliance, supporting capability build-up for new technologies, and offering a permanent contract, though it requires managing constant time pressure and high-stress situations.

Required Skills

Education

High school diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field required

Experience

  • Prior engineering experience in Aviation (MRO) Engineering desirable
  • Professional experience in aircraft component maintenance, including repair development
  • Professional experience navigating repair documentation
