Job Summary

This role is for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing Industrial Automation team, focusing on projects within the automotive sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical systems for industrial automation, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including PLC programmers and automation specialists. Key responsibilities include component evaluation, BOM creation, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting commissioning and troubleshooting. This position requires significant travel (approx. 60%) to customer sites and the BÄR Automation GmbH location in Gemmingen, near Heilbronn, or to the Munich headquarters if based in Gemmingen or Stuttgart. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automation, automotive, or mechanical engineering industries, particularly with robotics and AMRs, and possess strong communication skills in both German and English.
