Job Summary

This role involves working as a Chemical Engineer within the Thuringian State Office for Consumer Protection, specifically focusing on the analysis of residues, irradiation evidence, and contaminants in food and consumer products. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing advanced chromatographic procedures (GPC, SPE) for sample preparation and analysis using sophisticated techniques like GC-NPD, GC-ECD, GC-MS/MS, and LC-MS/MS, primarily focusing on pesticide and trace analytics. The engineer will also be responsible for developing and implementing new analytical methods, planning and executing method validation studies, ensuring Quality Management (QM) compliant documentation, and conducting function tests on measuring devices. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree or Diploma (FH) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Food Chemistry, Life Science Engineering, Environmental Analysis, or a comparable engineering discipline suitable for chemical analysis of food.
