Job Summary

Join Mercedes-Benz Energy GmbH, a dynamic subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, focused on innovative energy storage solutions, including the integration of vehicle batteries into 2nd Life applications. This role involves working within the Development HW & SW department to engineer and integrate software components for stationary battery storage systems. Day-to-day tasks include developing functional groups using TIA Portal (SCL, FUP), documenting architecture with UML tools, programming HMI surfaces, and supporting the commissioning of complex systems. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or Computer Science, coupled with excellent knowledge of Siemens PLC programming and familiarity with industrial communication protocols like TCP/IP and Profinet. This position offers a future-oriented environment, flexible working models, and the opportunity to actively shape the energy transition.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Computer Science, or a comparable technical qualification

Experience

  • Experience in handling product portfolios from various manufacturers for designing control hardware (HW components)
  • Experience in implementing and executing automated system and commissioning tests (Desirable)
  • Experience with version control systems (Octoplant, Git, SVN or comparable tools) (Desirable)
