Job Summary

This vital role involves ensuring the continuous, secure operation of the Berlin Fire Department's critical Control Center Language Communication System. The System Administrator will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and servicing all necessary hardware and software components, ensuring constant operational readiness, and implementing required configuration changes upon request. Key tasks include utilizing monitoring systems to detect deviations, performing immediate troubleshooting (escalating to manufacturers when necessary), and managing functional fallback systems for digital radio, emergency calls, and telecommunication. Furthermore, the role involves administration within virtualization environments and actively identifying and mitigating IT system vulnerabilities and security incidents. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Information and Communication Technology or possess relevant 3-year IT vocational training combined with several years of professional experience. This is a stable, unlimited position contributing directly to public safety within the largest professional fire department in Germany.

Experience
