Day-to-day tasks include specifying detailed requirements, creating robust software designs, implementing optimized code primarily using C/C++ for embedded hardware, and conducting rigorous validation both offline and through live driving trials. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, demonstrates strong C/C++ and MATLAB/Simulink proficiency, and ideally possesses initial experience with embedded systems and signal processing technologies such as radar or video processing.
