This Engineering Manager role is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned software development professional to transition into a leadership position within Kaufland's rapidly growing international online marketplace. Initially, you'll immerse yourself in hands-on technical tasks, gaining a deep understanding of the infrastructure and systems, particularly with PHP and JavaScript. Once familiar with the codebase, you'll take on managerial responsibilities, leading 1-3 cross-functional product teams. Your core mission will be to foster high-performing teams, remove roadblocks, and ensure the delivery of customer-centric products while balancing time, budget, and quality. This position offers significant flexibility, allowing for 100% remote work within Germany or presence in offices across Cologne, Darmstadt, or Düsseldorf, blending a start-up mentality with the stability of a large corporation.
