Job Summary

This role seeks a specialized PLC Programmer focused on complex Promicon Retrofit projects. The core responsibility involves porting existing PROMICON PLC programs onto modern Siemens control systems. This is a deep, long-term assignment (1-2 years) requiring the analysis, dismantling, and complete rebuilding of third-party machinery systems. Day-to-day tasks include creating and maintaining programs using the object-based pCOM Motion language, defining system variables and objects, and implementing mathematical and logical functions utilizing C syntax for intuitive programming. Candidates must possess a degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification, coupled with proven experience in both PROMICON and Siemens PLC environments. Familiarity with the pCOM language and the pPRO project planning tool within the PIDS software package is essential for success in this highly specialized control systems migration role.
