Job Summary

This permanent, full-time position as a GIS Application Specialist involves the critical operation and continuous development of the county's Geographic Information Systems (GIS) infrastructure, primarily utilizing the ArcGIS Enterprise environment (Portal, Pro, Server). The specialist will be responsible for planning and coordinating system updates, developing role and rights concepts for secure data access, and ensuring the regular preparation, updating, and provision of geobasic data. A core function is establishing and enforcing standardized guidelines for unified geodata management across departments, including adherence to INSPIRE metadata standards. Day-to-day tasks include handling user support via a ticketing system, providing comprehensive user training and documentation, and creating public-facing web and print maps with advanced features. Candidates must hold a university degree in an information technology field, such as Computer Science, and ideally possess at least three years of experience as a Second Level IT Administrator. The role offers flexible working hours and mobile work options.
