Job Summary

This critical role within the Frankfurt City Drainage department involves ensuring the reliable operation of complex wastewater infrastructure, including treatment plants, incineration facilities, and extensive sewer networks. The Instrumentation and Control Technician is responsible for the independent monitoring, setup, and maintenance of sophisticated electrical, measurement, control, regulation, and process control systems. Daily tasks include complex troubleshooting, fault elimination, performing difficult measurements, and updating system documentation. A key focus is on the testing, repair, and parameterization of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) used for plant automation. Candidates must possess a completed qualification as an Electronics Technician for Automation and Systems Technology or Process Control Electronics, coupled with strong knowledge of measurement and control technology. Experience with process control systems is highly desirable.
