Job Summary

This senior leadership role requires an experienced professional to head the Platforms & Technology department, driving significant organizational and technical transformations. The Head of Platforms & Technology acts as a coach and mentor, setting strategic goals for continuous staff development and optimizing departmental processes. A core responsibility is advancing the company's Cloud-Only strategy by ensuring smart, secure operations and maintaining the entire IT architecture. This includes coordinating 2nd and 3rd level support and managing departmental budgets and personnel. Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Computer Science, extensive experience (5+ years) in IT infrastructure, and proven multi-year leadership competence. Expertise in modern concepts like Cloud Operations, Platform Management, Security Operations, and Enterprise Architecture is essential, coupled with strong analytical skills and business fluency in both German and English. This position offers the opportunity to shape the core technology backbone of a major European airline group.
