Job Summary

This role involves actively participating in the e-mobility transition by ensuring the operational readiness and maintenance of charging infrastructure (AC/DC) for Daimler Buses Solutions GmbH in Northwest Germany (remote-based, covering Osnabrück, Bielefeld, Münster, and Dortmund areas). The technician will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of charging systems, ensuring compliance with Daimler quality standards, and overseeing technical acceptance of work performed by external service providers. Key duties include performing maintenance, repairs, and measurements according to DGUV/DIN VDE standards, conducting on-site and remote fault analysis, and integrating charging stations into the service backend. The ideal candidate must have a background in electrical engineering, be highly autonomous and customer-oriented, possess strong German and good English skills, and be willing to travel extensively within the service area. Required Skills

Education

Completed training in Electrical Engineering (Technician or Master qualification desirable)

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical engineering
  • Desirable prior knowledge in charging infrastructure
  • Desirable experience in initial testing according to VDE 0100 Part 600 and recurring tests according to VDE 0105
  • Experience with medium-voltage switchgear authorization or willingness to acquire this qualification
