Job Summary

This role involves managing the operational safety and maintenance of the extensive electrotechnical systems within the B9 road tunnel in Bad Godesberg, Bonn. The successful candidate will join the Civil Engineering Department's team responsible for ensuring continuous traffic flow and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex systems such as power supply, ventilation, smoke extraction, lighting, traffic control, fire alarm, emergency radio, and video surveillance. A key responsibility is project management for renewals and retrofitting, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, deadlines, and quality standards. The role requires participation in an on-call service team to maintain traffic operations and involves coordinating external services and collaborating with inter-departmental teams like the fire department. This position offers a challenging, permanent role focused on critical infrastructure management within the Federal City of Bonn.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree or certified technician qualification in Electrical Engineering, Ventilation, Smoke Extraction Systems, RLT, or Building Control Systems

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in planning, tendering, and construction management of projects related to electrical, ventilation, smoke extraction, RLT, or building control systems
  • Professional experience with operational technical systems in road traffic tunnels, especially ventilation/smoke extraction (Desirable)
  • Experience with guidelines for the operation of road tunnels (RABT or EABt 80/100, ZTV-ING) (Desirable)
