This role involves supporting the KreAktiv project at the Thünen Institute of Fisheries Ecology in Bremerhaven, focusing on developing functional feed for salmonid fish to enhance performance and sustainability in aquaculture. The Biological Technical Assistant will be responsible for executing feeding trials with juvenile trout, meticulously documenting results, and maintaining technical experimental facilities. Key duties include conducting electrochemical and photometric water analyses, caring for the animal stock, and preparing samples for external analysis. Candidates must possess a state-recognized qualification as a Biological Technical Assistant (or equivalent, such as a Fisher with laboratory experience) and demonstrate experience in aquaculture research and handling aquatic organisms. The position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a high degree of self-motivation and reliability, offering an engaging opportunity in applied research.
