This role involves ensuring the continuous availability and functionality of all IT hardware and software systems within the Potsdam City and State Library. The coordinator acts as the primary IT system administrator, focusing on fault analysis, troubleshooting, and the integration of new hardware components. A core responsibility is the specialized administration of the library management system, OCLC BIBLIOTHECAnext, including providing first-level support and conducting user training. Furthermore, the position requires developing and implementing IT security guidelines, data protection regulations, and maintaining an IT emergency concept. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in Informatics or a related field, coupled with several years of professional experience, ideally within a public administration setting.
