Job Summary
This role is a fixed-term, part-time (65%) PhD position focused on agrarian ecology within the Institute for Applied Ecology. The successful candidate will conduct independent research as part of the "FlurWin" project, investigating alternative land uses for vineyards undergoing structural change. Key responsibilities include identifying suitable alternative crops and land uses, studying arthropod diversity in relation to structural and crop species diversity, and analyzing ecological data, preferably using R and GIS. The associate will formulate practical recommendations for winegrowers and publish findings in international scientific journals. Candidates must possess a Master's degree in Biology, Agrarian/Environmental Sciences, or a related field with a focus on Ecology, coupled with strong knowledge of species, especially insects, and experience in ecological data analysis. This position offers a meaningful contribution to sustainable landscape transformation within a collaborative, innovative university setting.
