Job Summary

This role is for an experienced Project Engineer specializing in Hydraulics, Hydraulic Engineering, and Hydrogeology to join a leading engineering firm based in Witten, Germany. The core responsibilities involve managing complex hydrogeological projects, including drafting and reviewing proposals for groundwater modeling, water retention systems, and contaminant transport calculations. Day-to-day tasks will require coordinating field exploration, determining critical hydrological parameters (such as groundwater recharge and infiltration), and performing detailed analysis of hydraulic field and laboratory tests (e.g., pumping tests and permeability calculations). You will also be responsible for dimensioning infiltration systems, calculating groundwater lowering systems (using tools like Excel or BGU), and preparing water rights applications. The position requires a Master's degree in a relevant engineering or geological field and familiarity with 2D/3D groundwater modeling software (FeFlow, Modflow). The company offers a permanent contract, flexible working hours, mobile office options, and extensive individual development opportunities through their internal academy.
