Job Summary
This permanent Electrical Engineer position at the University of Hildesheim's Department for Construction and Building Management focuses on modernizing and expanding the university's infrastructure through innovative and sustainable technology. The core responsibility involves planning, controlling, and supervising new construction and renovation projects within electrical engineering and building automation, from concept through completion. The successful engineer will represent the university's interests as the client (Bauherr) toward external planning offices, specialized firms, and internal user groups. A key aspect of the role is contributing original ideas for energy-efficient and future-proof building technology, ensuring a smooth transition into operational management. Candidates must hold a university degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering, possess strong expertise in electrical system planning or supervision, and demonstrate fluent German language skills (C1 level). Experience
- Expertise in the planning, tendering, or construction supervision of electrical systems
- Professional experience in construction or technical building equipment (TGA) is desirable
- Experience acting autonomously, structured, and solution-oriented in complex projects

- Permanent employment contract; Must obtain a Certificate of Equivalence (ZAB) for university degrees obtained outside of Germany prior to employment; Knowledge of public procurement regulations (VOB, HOAI) is advantageous but not mandatory.
